Can I just say that if you have nothing to serve for dessert, you will always be saved by massive hunks of chocolate. I picked up big, heavy pieces of dark, milk and white Callebaut chocolate and, though it feels like we’ve been chipping away at them forever, they’re still as impressive as ever. Served with nothing but a little chisel and a glass of something strong = perfection.
Another observation: if you come over for dinner (and I hope you will) be prepared to eat pasta. Because from the looks of things, our bag of tricks is deceptively shallow.
Lastly, I know I’ve been promising the focaccia recipe for awhile now, and let me bait your appetite when I tell you that it has been perfected. It’s taken many a sacrifice, but I’ve done it.
Now I must run and have my scheduled shower before I head over to the daycare to pick up my wriggly crawler. Yeah, I plan showers in advance. But at least I take them.
